The core idea: make data protection approachable and genuinely useful for everyday people, not just tech-savvy users.
Privacy tools are often technical and intimidating. Menus buried deep in OS settings, cryptic permission names, and lack of real-time feedback make data control inaccessible for most users. The challenge was designing a system that makes privacy both simple and empowering - without dumbing it down.
Two user types guided the design: privacy-conscious users who want granular control, and everyday users who just want to feel safe without needing to understand the technical details.
