Developed within H-Farm's Innovation Department for SIPA S.p.A., a global leader in beverage packaging solutions. The goal was to design a digital twin platform capable of monitoring, simulating, and optimizing industrial production lines - supporting both internal teams and clients in decision-making processes.
I worked as Product Designer, collaborating closely with product managers, developers, data specialists, and industrial stakeholders. My responsibilities covered UX research, information architecture, interaction design, UI design, and the definition of a coherent design system for a complex B2B platform.
Manufacturing companies like SIPA manage industrial plants distributed globally, monitoring hundreds of machines and coordinating multiple stakeholders - technicians, clients, managers, and maintenance teams. Without a centralized digital platform, preventing failures and optimizing maintenance becomes extremely difficult.
Enterprise platforms often sacrifice usability for feature density. The challenge was designing a system that scales to complex industrial use cases while remaining learnable for non-technical operators and meaningful to C-suite executives simultaneously. An Agile Scrum methodology was adopted throughout, with co-design workshops and progressive validation with real users.
A modular web platform integrating real-time machine data, predictive maintenance dashboards, and collaboration tools for users with different roles. Role-based customizable dashboards for clients, technicians, and managers. Clear visualization of machine status and intervention priorities.
The platform improved operational awareness, reduced cognitive load, and enabled more informed decisions across complex production environments - becoming a key tool in SIPA's digital transformation strategy.
