OHSHOT is my most personal project - not a commissioned work, but a passion project designed to grow over time. The name is a play on the exclamation "oh shit", designed to speak to a pop-driven, younger audience. Bold colors, essential shapes, and irony - hallmarks of traditional pop art - define the visual language.
The grid acts as a score that can be intentionally broken; sketches are improvisations - a deliberate, controlled roughness that keeps the work alive. A balance between order and chaos, precision and unpredictability.
Digital Prints - reinterpretations of classical icons through a contemporary lens. David with tattoos as modern symbols. The Mona Lisa with Joker-style makeup and a graffiti tag reading 'SMILE'. An ironic yet direct invitation to keep smiling, transforming the ultimate painting icon into a contemporary manifesto.
Tridimensional Face - multi-material artworks exploring physicality. Murano glass bubbles crafted by master glassmakers on the island add movement and depth that changes with the viewer's perspective. Currently exhibited at Fornace Zanetti in Murano.
OH SH*T, it's you! - bold irreverence on canvas. Comforting cartoon characters staring back and raising a middle finger. A reflection on lost innocence and pop culture's bite. Each painting finished with signature paint splashes - a deliberate 'dirtying' of the image.
